One EasyLock unit consists of a clamping pintle with pintle point and a fixed pintle with point. In spooling applications, the pintle points protrude into the spool core. When the clamping control is tightened, the points are compressed against the inside of the spool core so that rotational play between the spool and shaft is eliminated.
Pintle points have a 60° taper. Two different styles of points are available - each with slightly different dimensions (see chart below).
