RS Linear Drives are the Ideal Solution for Indexing and Positioning Linear Motion Applications
Designed to run on a smooth, threadless shaft, the Amacoil/Uhing RS indexing drive provides backlash-free linear motion. The inner race of the rolling ring bearings is in constant point-contact with the shaft. There is no play or free movement between shaft and bearings. RS linear drives are available in five different linear pitch settings. Example applications include metrology equipment, material handling systems, CNC machines and test/measurement machinery.
RS drives are available in ten sizes to meet varying linear speed and axial thrust requirements. Amacoil/Uhing RS drives are also available on the shaft in a custom linear motion assembly.

In a rolling ring RS drive, the rotary input motion provided by a motor-driven shaft (included only in ARS assembly) is converted into linear output. RS linear drives are backlash-free. Clogs and jams are eliminated because the shaft is threadless.
